Exercise

On top of eating healthy, staying physically fit is important to me.  Getting some form of exercise or cardio is not only good for weight loss/maintaining but for overall heart health.  I also feel way more energetic when I workout regularly. 
So here is my little fitness routine that works for me.  As someone who hates the gym and all the drama that comes with it (see unwanted attention, gross habits, etc), having an exercise machine I can use at home is a huge help.  This "In Motion "eliptical machine is compact and fits under my chair.  I pull it out for 30 minutes every other day with my weights.  Now I'm not saying I don't miss a day here and there, but for the most part I try to stay active.  And now that it's warming up I can get out and ride my bike more as well.

  2. That machine is really cool!!! To stay in shape I go to a turbo kick class twice a week. There are some days when I REALLY don't want to go but I drag myself to the class and am usually ok after I get there.....If only we could all eat what we wanted and stay at our dream size.

  4. great post! i run, outside, even in the winter, but running for me is like a zen time, it clears my head while doing good things for my body. i'm not much of a gym person either, the outside is where it's at ;) have a great tuesday!

  5. I am not a gym person either, even though I've had a membership for over two years now and have been maybe 10 times...smh! I have gotten so lazy these past couple of months but now that Spring is here I have started doing my workout dvd's at home. My favorite is Jeanette Jenkins and Jillian Michael's too.

  7. Great machine I need one.....I am taking classes at my gym since they are free for platinum members....Zumba, 30 Step, Piloxing and Ripped are what I most frequent at least 3 times a week....in between I may walk the track or cut on my Insanity video

  11. i don't like gyms either. i do so much better when i am alone. i love to walk and run outside. i also have been using this nike training app for the past month or so...LOVE it! your machine looks fun tho!! lol.

  13. I go to the gym, but it's our apartment's little gym. I'm not that self-conscious in there as I would be in a large membership gym. I run (about 4 miles) 3-4 times a week. If I don't have time to do a run, I do 1-3 sets of the 10 min cardio on the app I downloaded on my iPad. Love those workout apps because then I can watch TV or blast my music without staring at the workout video.

  16. Hold up now...you look especially cute working out. I need to step my game up! Ha.

    I used to dance, so I immediately embraced dance fitness. I now teach zumba. I'm also going to be teaching a bootcamp class. Yikes!

    1. I was wondering if anyone was going to ask about makeup. heehee I honestly do workout in my makeup. Soon as I get home from work or wherever, I get right into my workout gear. Otherwise if I sit down or start doing something else it's not going to happen. I always wanted to try Zumba.

  18. You look stunning hun & your body is really nice. I go to gym sometimes, I don't really mind the stuff you said but, I find it a hassle to go gym, get change, get back home, takes soo long all together!

    I like doing a small exercise everyday like ab work outs or bum work outs :)
    I'm not good at going out jogging or walking places but I do that at the gym..xx
