I bought this Kimono a couple of years ago on a trip to Toronto in China Town. It was a full length robe that I had cut and made into a short jacket. I like pairing it with other casual pieces so that it becomes the true star of the outfit.

You guys already know what I'll be doing this weekend. Enjoy yours!
So you guys know I love a bold colored lipstick, it's pretty much my signature. In these photos I'm wearing a bright pink by Mac called St. Germaine, which I've had for a while. Now have you ever went to a makeup artist and they just do something fierce to your lips or eyes, then you purchase everything, go home and try it and it's like, this is not what they did? I'm having an unsure moment with this lipstick with the Nightmoth liner. What do you think? Rock it or Stop it?
I love kimono inspired jackets, especially the Winter Kate line of jackets. When I was in Japan I made sure to purchase a couple of authentic ones (gave one away as a gift). I don't know why this is just now making it's debut on the blog, but I absolutely love it.

I thought I'd finally show you the full chalkboard portrait of me a friend of mine did when he came over. Usually when I entertain I let my friends draw, write, or doodle on the chalkboard. This is one of the coolest things done yet, so it will be up for a while until the next "artist" comes along.

I got most of my packing done this weekend thanks to my sister and nephew coming over to lend me a hand. I'm just so ready to be in my new apartment already and be done with it.
It's a cold and rainy Friday here but I've got plans tonight. A relaxing evening at a friends house with dinner, games, and laughs, so looking forward to the unwind time. I'll be back on the packing grind the rest of the weekend though.

How do you tone down a dramatic layered skirt? Why you add a dramatic big bow sweater of course. This skirt was purchased a couple years ago from Forever 21. It also came in gray, but I selected the black so that if I want to go more formal with it, the ties in the lining of the skirt can be loosened making it very long and floor sweeping.
