This past Saturday I went to a Vintage Bazaar in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. There was everything from furniture, antiques, to clothes to be had. I totally intended on documenting it with pictures, but when I shop, I tend to be so focused and move pretty quickly. When you are dealing with a bunch of ladies hunting the same garments on racks, there is just really no time to take photos, so the camera stayed in my bag. After almost two hours there, I left with three vintage dresses. I'm not a fan of high marked up Vintage that can easily be bought cheaper at Thrift Stores, but these vendors were willing to bargain on already low prices. Here is one of the dresses I purchased:
Vintage Dress - Vintage Baazar (can't remember the vendor)
Kelly & Katie Boots - DSW
Belt - Marshall's
Mac Lipstick - Fresh Moroccan
Looking at the stitching inside the garment, it appears to have been home/handmade, which is even more special to me. After seeing Eva's Boho Dress, I was inspired to cinch the waist with a wide belt on this otherwise loose flowing dress. Stay tuned throughout the Spring/Summer for the other vintage items I purchased.
